Welcome to Pimp My Pet
Hi, I’m your dog groomer, Chuckie.
With over 18 years experience, Academy trained and IPG certified, I love dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds. My salon is quiet and offers a one-on-one service to ensure a calm environment for your pet. To give you the best service possible, I regularly attend seminars and workshops. I also compete when I can but my love is to groom and show dogs for breeders. I am also Lucky enough to be a part of the igroom hub team and able to pass on my knowledge to new groomers with their online tutorials. As a member of the Dog Groomers Association Of WA I adhere to their motto “Grooming with knowledge and humanity”
I offer a wide variety of grooming services, from your basic bath or pet clip to your breed specific trim. Hand Stripping is my specialty.
You can find my salon in the tranquil surrounds of the Fur Kidz Resort in Canning Vale, Western Australia. To book, please call me on 0424 491 001 and leave a message, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

RESPONSE AFTER VOICEMAIL WAS LEFT YESTERDAY. I’ve noticed lately Groomers are being criticised for refusing doodle crossbreeds, and I need to be clear about why I no longer take anymore on.
After 20 years grooming, 98% of doodles that has come through my salon has been medicated for anxiety, are hyper and are a risk to groom. My last two serious bites were from oodles and my shoulder injured. That’s not bias — that’s experience and safety.
On top of that, many previous doodle owners have told me they would never choose this breed again after living with the coat, anxiety, and grooming realities.
In my opinion majority of these dogs are not bred for coat type or stable temperament, and I can no longer support breeding that ignores both.
Every professional groomer has the right to decide what they will and won’t groom. That choice is based on safety, ethics, and sustainability — and it’s no one else’s business.
Saying no doesn’t make you unprofessional, lazy or precious.
It means you know your limits and respect them.#groomingeducation #groomerssupportinggroomers #groomerlife #doggroominglife🐾✂️
My two favourite coat products for the show dogs @ivsanbernardaustralia Black Passion and Green Caviar 10 in 1 Treatment. Using the foaming technique at a 1:3 ratio, a little goes a LONG way… only 10ml of product to 30ml of water. Ben is owned by @battlestar_jacks
Safe to say the poodle left thinking he was the absolute duck’s nuts.
Riley the Cairn Terrier came in for his very first hand strip today… and what a little legend he was 👏🐾
No drama, no negotiations, no tiny terrier tantrums — just stood there like a pro and took it all in stride. Safe to say Riley understood the assignment.
Fresh coat, tidy shape, and still full of that classic cheeky Cairn attitude ✨🐶 #cairnterrier #handstripping

Scruppers the young Cairn Terrier came in for his first hand stripping session a little late to the party, but he made an entrance.
He fought a good fight at the start, tried the death roll, but once he realised hand stripping wasn’t the end of the world, he settled beautifully and came good in the end
First sessions can be full of opinions, but Scruppers did well, learnt a lot, and left looking every bit the smart little Cairn Terrier he is. Pretty chuffed with himself #cairnterrier #handstripping

What a day! Little Miss Roxy stepped into her first ever dog show with the Metropolitan Kennel Club @dogswest and only went and won Best Baby in Show!
Huge thank you to our wonderful judge from New Zealand, Mrs D Clark. She had so much fun in the ring — that’s the real win for me.
Shoutout to our awesome sponsors @blackhawkpetcare @plushpuppyaustralia , and to @ivsanbernardaustralia products for keeping her coat show‑ready. Roxy is co owned with Neridah Sharrett and Stan Honery. Thank you for trusting her with me 💕
